The Junior League of Little Rock is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Community Projects

GROWGROW
This project is designed to reach adolescent girls at a time when their self-esteem and self-image is most vulnerable. Approximately 65 girls from 6 Little Rock School District middle schools will be targeted for participation this year.  Read more

This is a hands-on program designed to help prevent deaths and serious injuries from motor vehicle crashes by educating children, ages 3 to 10, their parents, and educators about the importance of buckling up for every ride. Read more.

Nightingales
The Nightingales Committee provides diversionary activities and personal care services to the parents and caregivers of children who are patients at Arkansas Children's Hospital and UAMS Family Home.  Read more

SCAT Night OwlsSCAT Night Owls
SCAT Night Owls provides residents of 3 downtown retirement centers recreational and motivational activities 2 evenings each month. Monthly activities - planned and hosted by JLLR volunteers - include games, arts & crafts, camaraderie and fun social interaction with fellow residents along with JLLR volunteers. Congruent with JLLR mission's, the project improves the welfare of senior citizens in Central Arkansas. This year alone, SCAT Night Owls expects to impact the lives of over 60 retirees.  Read more
