Sarah Morris – September 2023 Member of the Month

Our October Member of the Month is Sarah Morris. Her leadership as Little Readers Rock (LRR) Chair has been noted as inspirational! The Six Bridges Book Festival was a huge success with thoughtful and educational crafts, snacks, and activities. Over 200 children received 2-3 books each for their personal library from JLLR and Sarah did a great job coordinating the distribution. Each committee member seemed really fulfilled by the day’s event, and we think that speaks volumes not only about the project but about Sarah too!

Outside of her involvement with JLLR Sarah works at the Arkansas Department of Health, and is involved as a Hotline Advocate at Women and Children First, a domestic violence shelter. Sarah also serves in several other organizations.  She is the VP of her neighborhood association, a lifetime member of the Arkansas Audubon Society, and she is on the Forest of Hope Family Peace Center’s community engagement committee.  During her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, taking pictures, birdwatching, as well as aiming to attend as many activities of her nieces’ as possible.  Congratulations Sarah!
