Emily Powell Carpenter – January 2023 Member of the Month

What Emily Powell Carpenter values most about the Junior League of Little Rock is the way it provides opportunities for every member to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. Her favorite placement thus far has been Publications Editor, where she took on her first leadership role within JLLR. This experience proved to be transformative, leading her to subsequent roles as Marketing VP and eventually guiding her career towards communications roles. Emily currently works as a Social Media Coordinator for a state agency and has been intentional about choosing placements that allow her to manage her work and volunteer responsibilities effectively.

Apart from her involvement with JLLR, Emily finds fulfillment in volunteering with Girls on the Run of Central Arkansas. She enjoys reading, crafting, playing games, riding bicycles, and bullet journaling. She also loves a dinner out at Trio’s as well as keeping up with the latest at Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Arkansas, and Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.
