The Junior League of Little Rock (JLLR) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Nonprofit Board Institute (NPBI), to be held every Tuesday for five weeks from September 6 through October 4, 2016. The NPBI will train individuals on how to be effective nonprofit board members.

All sessions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the JLLR building, located at 401 South Scott Street in downtown Little Rock. The class is limited to 40 participants, with a $200 registration fee covering all training materials and weekly dinners.

Anyone who currently serves or is interested in serving as a nonprofit board member is encouraged to register. The topics will focus on developing leaders for the nonprofit sector through education on all areas of board service, including startup, branding, grant writing, managing volunteers, and conflict resolution. Sessions will be led by area experts familiar with nonprofit board leadership.

The NPBI will conclude on October 4, with a graduation at the JLLR building. Representatives from local nonprofit boards will be invited to meet the graduating class at the ceremony and share board opportunities with them.
