A recent article in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette profiled the 2015-2016 Junior League of Little Rock President, Marisha DiCarlo.

Marisha joined the League in the fall of 2006 as a new member. Her first placement was as an Interaction staff writer. Marisha worked in several community projects throughout her League experiencing including serving as Community Vice President in 2013.

League members recently voted to approve a new community project – a two-year partnership with Positive Atmosphere Reaching Kids (P.A.R.K). Marisha spearheaded the research and development of the P.A.R.K. project during her year as president-elect so it is most fitting that the proposal was approved during her presidential year. P.A.R.K. is an after-school and summer program for at-risk youth and our two-year partnership will introduce a focus on nutrition and wellness to the existing curriculum.

Outside of the League, Marisha has a doctoral degree from the UAMS College of Public Health. She manages operations within the ADH Office of Health Communications and is responsible for directing internal and external communications. In addition, she serves as the public information officer for chemical emergency preparedness and monitors emergency drills for numerous governmental agencies.

Marisha is truly a woman empowered here in Central Arkansas. She embodies a true Junior League woman. Read more about Marisha in the High Profile section of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette that was published on May 15, 2016 by clicking here.
