2016 Downtown Dash 10K/5K Results

Nearly 400 runners turned out to participate in the Junior League of Little Rock’s 3rd Annual Downtown Dash on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

The Dash included a 10K and a 5K course as well as a 1K course for children. The races started at 8:00 a.m.

The event took participants around Downtown Little Rock and passed Junior League legacy projects, including the Arkansas Arts Center, before finishing in front of the Junior League Building on Scott Street.

First to cross the finish line in the 5K were Josh Franco, 16, with a time of 18:28 and Lisa Duke, 43, with a time of 22:00. The 10K leaders were Brian Sites, 50, with a time of 38:50 and Erin Bellisimo, 31, with a time of 42:40.

More than 40 children from 3 to 12 participated in the Junior League’s inaugural Downtown Dash Jr. 1K. Aaron Liu, 11, finished first.

Junior League president Marisha DiCarlo, Ph. D., said, “Today was a great day for running, jogging and walking. We are thrilled for our winners and most excited to see our community being active together, supporting the League’s mission of wellness.”
